Perubahan besar-besaran pada mobil low multy purpose vehicle (LMPV) kembaran Grand New Avanza ini terlihat mulai dari mesin, interior dan eksteriornya.
Mesin Great New Xenia merupakan mesin baru dengan teknologi Dual VVT-i. Mesin baru ini diklaim lebih bertenaga dan lebih irit bahan bakar serta bobotnya lebih ringan dari mesin Xenia sebelumnya.
